Wind Chimes

After my Grandma Thelda passed away last September, I "swiped" her wind chimes from her front porch. I always loved to hear those chime when I visited her. Brady is sick, he has an ear infection, is teething and basically feels rough. I was rocking him to sleep last night, praying (more like pleading) he would sleep long enough for me to get some things done, and ringing loud and very clear on my front porch was Grandma's wind chimes. After fighting back a few tears, I thought of Grandma and how she loved to rock and hold her great-grandchildren. I rocked him extra long last night just for you Grandma!

I am very pleased to know that her wind chimes have been placed in a loving home, with a lovely front porch. It would make me sad to know they were "swiped' just to fill a hole.

I had tears in my eyes as I read this post. Yes Amber, grandma would be so happy to know you are rocking your babies, and hers, to her wind chimes.

Sweet lady. Fun Grandma. Miss her!!

I too think it is fitting for you to have grandma's wind chimes. I often hear them and think of her. It's hard not to! Isn't it funny how a simple thing can bring so many memories back. I wonder what kind of simple things that we have in our lives that will create memory makers. Amber, you are a wonderful mom! Take time to rock your babies often. Time well spent and a memory will be made in the process. I love you! And Grandma!

Just read this post and brought a smile to my face and sweet memories of Aunt Thelda. LOVED the picture- she could not get enough of those great-grandbabies. Told me all about them every chance she got.

It's fun to keep up with you guys through your blog! I added you to my blog reader a little while back, so it's nice to regularly get caught up with you all.

Love, Cherissa
