Oh vacation...how I miss you right about NOW!
We ventured further east on 30A in Florida to a quiet little place called Cape San Blas. The water wasn't as blue, but it was amazingly quiet, the beaches were reneagade like - you could drive on them, have bonfires, weren't groomed, lots of seashells, you get the idea. We spent a week there and this is probably the first vacation where the time actually crawled. Amazing.
And now I leave you with lots of pictures. Enjoy or close your browser now. :)
Yeah, that's right...not a person in sight.

(tball}
Our lefty, Paige, made her tball debut this summer. Way down deep, Dane probably wishes that Brady would have been our lefty, but nonetheless it's Paige. She's fun to watch play! I think we only had 1 on the field melt-down and she did hit a home run. I know, not that difficult in tball but she still had to round the bases! :) Dane and a good friend of ours coached. It was confirmed though that I probably shouldn't coach - I lack some patience skills that are required.

{look who's 4!?!?}
These cutie pies turned 4 just a few weeks ago. They are 5 days apart, only boys (whose mother's are sisters) each with 2 sister's each...wait, this sounds familiar huh Chris? :)
When they are together, they are a fire to be reckoned with. Happy Birthday Holton and Brady!

{attire}
I was sorting through swimsuits for our trip to the beach in a few weeks and I'm pretty sure that we own more than the average family. One can never be to prepared, I guess. We are counting down the days till we feel the sand between our toes.

{sisters}
Don't you wanna dance?
Say you wanna dance.
Don't you wanna dance?
Paige - we are so proud of you...you did amazing at your first dance recital. You nailed all your steps and transitions and we had lots of fun watching your personality come alive on stage. I especially loved watching you bond even more with your Aunt Ashley. That really was the highlight of the day for me - that's what sisters are for! And someday, you will be putting makeup and tights on Paisley's daughter for her first dance recital and the circle of life will live on.
Wow...that just left me speechless, teary eyed and made me feel old.

{breaking point}
Breaking Point ~ "a critical moment of personal stress"
Friday night late, before the BIG day for Paige's recital, this beauty fell and nailed her eye above her eyebrow on Nana Flynt's heavy duty dining room chair back. It produced the biggest goose egg I have ever seen. It was horrible, I about lost it and still had tap and ballet shoes to paint! :) This was taken tonight and it is going thru the black eye phases. She looks like she's been in a boxing match. I'm just glad we didn't have any doctor appointments this week because I think I would have been questioned alot and my other kids might have sold me out.

{lately}
What we've been doing lately, in random order and missing lots of pictures. Here are the highlights based on what pictures I took on my phone.
Razorback baseball and gummy worms.
Paige rescuing a wounded butterfly.
Because this little beauty was born last month - meet Laurel Quinn Lightner. The 10th "Flynt" grandkid (all 5 and under). Yeah, yikes is right!
Yes, we have been swimming.
And yes, some of us have been "hunting and gathering".
While the rest of us have just been playing.
Razorback baseball and gummy worms.
These two Texans came to stay with us in AR for a few days so their mom could relax.
