{he was there}

Remember the post where I said Paisley went to a wedding for her birthday...and she was good but her brother was not. Well, this post is for him - his name is Brady.

Brady - we do love you, more than words can explain. You are our only boy. And you are all boy. You did go to Trent's wedding but you probably won't remember most of it because you were a little toot. You caused me to "attempt" to take you out of the ceremony but I couldn't get "out" because the rows were blocked. So, we had to sit in the back and at one point, I tried to suffocate you because you were screaming. I am sorry for that in retrospect. I think. Regardless, we still love you and find you simply irresistible.

Note - thanks to Nana for taking this picture before they came to the wedding. It is the ONLY one I have of him from that night.

{"are you kidding me?"}

I should have been concerned when I saw "snakes" on the Wal-Mart list. When I asked about it, he told me that he wanted to put some in our columns out front to keep the birds from building nests this Spring. I thought, weird but seems like a good idea. What I didn't realize was that our porch would now look like this! We must do something soon because I am not sure Nana will EVER come visit us again! I can't make this stuff up. I say that alot these days!

{razorback Baseball}

We took Brady to the Razorback baseball game. He was the only kid we took. It was weird but fun to have some one-on-one time with him. He lasted the entire game in our seats (and actually so did I and without any complaints!). He got a baseball and was offered several others...cuteness does pay off! Enjoy the last picture. :)

{doesn't seem possible}

It doesn't seem like they can be old enough to be riding bikes. And, the stick well it's homeade for a few purposes one being to push the kids without messing up our backs and two being our neighbors down the road have a pit bull. Enough said.

{nervous}

These are the types of pictures I get when I am away from home. This one came upon a recent trip to see Papa Addington. Let's just say, I am and was very nervous! I just hope Grandma was around somewhere.

{goat vs. girl}

This is Paige and her next door living, cousin Kayla. They love each other and they love Kayla's goats. It's a girl thing. I guess.

{sammi}

Meet Sammi… This cute cat was “up in my grill” the day of the wedding. Let me explain…

After Friday night rehearsal, we stopped at my neighbor’s house, which happens to be my sister-in-law’s house. I noticed when Paige and I left to go home that I had left the door of my Yukon open. Not thinking much of it, we proceeded home.

Saturday morning I started loading the Yukon for our busy day/night ahead and noticed that it was locked. Now, I NEVER lock my car in the garage so this was strange. I immediately thought that Brady must have been playing in there and accidentally locked it again, yes again. So, after retrieving the spare keys from inside I unlocked it and continued my attempt to load things. I opened the door and the worst smell was coming at me. Upon further investigation, I found it – the source of the stinch – a HUGE pile of poo in the back floorboard. I have to confess, the first thought that went thru my mind was that Brady had done it – how? I have no idea but he was my first thought. I went BACK inside to have what in retrospect is a hilarious conversation with my husband (aka Superman)…

Me: hey hon, um, there is a huge pile of &@#$ in my car!!
Dane: what?!?! Why!?!?
Me: seriously, I don’t know why. what I do know is that it needs cleaned up ASAP because I need to be on the road. remember, my door was opened last night at your sisters.

***for those of you who don’t know “us” very well; Dane cleans up all our stinky messes because I have a HUGE gag reflex that I have now passed onto one of our children. back to the story***

Dane: oh, that’s right. I bet a cat got in there and pooed while we were inside. he proceeds to the garage with gag reflex kid in tow (Brady)

Me: I am processing this while gathering stuff and start panicking because remember, my doors were locked. so, I run to the garage to tell him that the source of the poo may still be in my car and accidentally locked it trying to escape.
Dane: is there to greet me with sammi.

Yes, that’s right…sammi spent the entire night in my Yukon, locked it and left me a big present. So my hero husband proceeded to throw sammi outside, back the car out, open all doors and clean the poo so I could be on my way.

Paige and I arrive at Belk in Rogers (30 minutes away from home). We get out of the car and hear “meow”. I am not kidding, I thought I was losing my mind and that sammi was haunting me! Paige says, “mom, did you hear that cat”? Yes, I did honey and I am SO glad you did too!! We head into the store and I immediately call Dane to say “hey hon, what are the chances that I would hear a cat in the Belk parking lot”? He laughs and says, “hmm, I guess it could have gotten back in your car while we were airing it out”. Are you kidding me! We got what we needed from Belk and then I looked inside the car for sammi, again. No cat. Ok I thought. What are the chances it is “in” my car? I called Dane back. (by now, I know he sick of me, sick of this cat, but he never acts like it). “hey hon, umm, Paige and are going to Chili’s for lunch…either come and trade me vehicles because I don’t want to drive to Fayetteville knowing I might have a cat “in” my car or come find the cat”! He says, be there in 10.

I haven’t mentioned that Dane is with the groom and helping him get things done, but it’s his brother and I am sure Trent knows by now how crazy his SIL is.

Paige and I proceed to have lunch – yes, we have priorities. Dane and Trent show up, pop the hood and there sits sammi on my motor! And alive! Dane does what any man would do…picks up sammi and tosses her in the parking lot! I see this, call him and say “hon, I think that is Kayla’s favorite cat”. He cusses, I doubt it but makes the story better, and the next thing I see is him and Trent looking for the cat in the parking lot! They can’t find it so they pop the hood again and sammi had gotten back on my motor.

Sammi spends the rest of the day in the back of Dane’s truck in his toolbox. Don’t worry PETA, no cats were harmed in the making of this crazy day! But, one might have been harmed if in fact it hadn’t been found to be a certain neice’s favorite cat.

I couldn’t make this stuff up!
