{sleep walking}

I found Paige in the kitchen last night after she had gone to bed. I could tell she was sleep walking which recently has been a normal part of our evening with her. I asked her what was wrong. She replied "I just want to go to the mainland". I said "me too sweety" and took her back to bed. I think there is something deep in her statement meant for me. Until I figure it out, we will be limiting our Tinkerbell watching. :)

{1/2 Year}

Paisley - you are now 6 months old. For your birthday, we went to a wedding. You were good, your brother was not, but that's for another post.

• weigh over 18 pounds
• have been ear infection clear for 2 weeks
• roll everywhere; we now have to keep the floors clean
• sit up fairly well
• talk, talk, talk
• have the warmest smiles
• love food and graham crackers
• take 2 naps a day
• almost sleep thru the night

They are married. They are on the beach for the week. And, we are all trying to recuperate.

{the days are long}

Those who know me well know that I don't hesitate to tell it how it is. I think it's a great part of me I picked up from my Grandma Thelda. :) So, I will tell you it's been a HARD week. I would say one of the hardest since we had kids. When Dane is out of town for an extended time, I always tell people that satan thinks he can move in. Well, this week, I think he made himself at home in our recliner. :) I had to kick him to the curb DAILY, ask God to help us and look toward the finish line. That finish line arrives at 4:48 PM today from Chicago and satan better look out because dad is almost home!

I heard someone say once "the days are long but the years are short". This pretty much sums it up for us. The days ARE long but it seems the years are already slipping away! Today, I cherish the chaos that is our current life.

{liquid eye shadow vs. lip gloss}

I know these 2 things aren't the same but when you are rushing to make yourself presentable and one of them shouldn't be in your makeup bag to begin with, then they sure do look the same. I proceeded to put the wrong one on my eyelid the other morning and boy did it sparkle! And, because I didn't have time to clean it up, proceeded to put it on the other eyelid. Besides my eyelids being a little sticky, it was not too bad. Maybe I am on to something!
